July 13 - Distracted from my activities
The good thing about having this blogging project is that it is personal and sometimes (as today), I will be sharing more than just technical stuff. Right now I am collaborating at AyersLab
in McMaster University, but I study my B.Sc. at Tecnológico de Monterrey or TEC for short.
I don't want to write the whole rant here but in summary, there are some administrative issues with TEC and these problems may interfere with my graduation date. I am just tired of the way in which the institution that is supposed to help me and give opportunities, just steps into the way and make things a lot more complicated and bureaucratic than what they really are.
After spending more than half of the day trying to solve this issues. It looks as if they will be solved with the help of my academic advisor. They should be cleared for tomorrow morning.
Databases
Today I was supposed to work with databases
. After all the meetings in the morning I finally have the opportunity to take a seat and start working. My pending tasks in databases
include:
- [ ]
issue_14
: pendingSO
geometries. - [ ]
Alkalides
: write structures from paper. - [ ]
Li/Na/...
: make scaling script. - [ ] Post-processing notebook
- [ ] Expand funcionality of
database json
command to take multiple charges and multiplicities.
While working with the first point, I found several geometries in the following source: Computational Chemistry Comparison and Benchmark DataBase
There is also another section of the same website All data (experiment and calculated) in the CCCBDB for one species
